Maternal Mental Health Support provides specialist NHS support for women experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties during pregnancy and up to one year after birth. The service supports women across Rhondda Cynon Taf who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other complex emotional challenges linked to the perinatal period.
The team includes specialist mental health professionals who offer assessment, therapeutic support and care planning tailored to individual needs. They work closely with midwives, health visitors, GPs and other services to ensure joined-up care for mothers and their families.
